EDWIN W EDWARDS
Special Guest Speaker
Edwin W. Edwards was born August 7, 1927. He finished grade school in the public school system and then at 17 volunteered to enter the Navy for flight training during WWII. When the war ended during his training, Edwards returned and entered LSU law school where he graduated in 1949. He began his law practice in Crowley, Louisiana. In 1954, he was elected to City council, and from there continued his political career in the State Senate, Congress and then as a four-term Governor of the State of Louisiana. He now spends his time doing speaking engagements and book signings. He is currently writing a sequel to his bestselling autobiography. He is married to Trina Scott.
 
 
Terry M. Cordova

Terry Cordova leads a more than 130-person Suddenlink technical operations and engineering team with oversight responsibility for all technical operations, voice, digital video and data engineering operations, including oversight of the company’s national backbone and centralized platforms. He and his team are now in the midst of a three-year project that will increase significantly the number of high-definition (HD) TV channels carried, expand VOD services and fiber interconnect markets, and increase Internet speeds through the deployment of DOCSIS 3.0, benefitting both residential and commercial customers.
Terry is vice chairman of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE), and is a three-term board member. Last year he was named to the 2011 class of Cable TV Pioneers, was inducted into the SCTE Hall of Fame, served as program chair of SCTE’s Cable-Tec EXPO and was named CTO of the Year by Multichannel News. Before Suddenlink, Terry was Vice President of Engineering for Charter Communications’ Southeast Division. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Kansas State University.
