COX COMMUNICATIONS WINS BBB AWARD
The Better Business Bureau of South Central Louisiana is proud to announce the winners of the 2012 Douglas Manship Sr. Torch Award for Ethics in Business.
Among those awarded was COX COMMUNICATIONS, INC. (300 or more employees).
The Manship Award was established in 2001 to honor those businesses which exhibit the highest ethical standards of behavior towards customers, suppliers, users, shareholder, employees and the community.
The 2012 recipients will be recognized at the BBB’s 12th Annual Torch Awards Banquet on October 30, 2012 at the L’auberge Casino & Hotel Baton Rouge.

Cable Dominates Emmy Awards!
Cable once again dominated the awards at the 64th Annual Emmy Awards, winning a majority of the Emmy awards. Noteworthy from the awards: five of six nominated dramas were cable shows and swept the principal awards for best drama, best miniseries/movie, leading actor, leading actress, directing and writing. Also, half of the comedy show nominations were cable shows, interesting as comedy is an area traditionally dominated by broadcast networks.
